About The Dineen Building

iQ Office Suites is housed in the historic, five-storey Dineen Building. This 1897 structure, located at the intersection of Yonge and Temperance Streets, originally housed the offices, showrooms and workshops of the Dineen Hat and Fur Company, an early Toronto success story.

In 1973 the Dineen Building was placed on the City of Toronto’s Inventory of Heritage Properties. It is valued as a rare surviving example of late 19th Renaissance Revival architectural style.

In 2012, after decades of neglect, the building underwent a complete retrofit and modernization of the exterior and interior spaces. All systems and infrastructure was removed and re-engineered with special attention given to the historical nature of the core elements exposed after decades of neglect. The result is a stunning example of 21st century design and technology fused with 19th century character and craftsmanship.
