The air conditioning system is a high pressure variable volume system in combination with reheat coils for the perimeter zones. The system is designed to provide a minimum of one zone per 200 SF around the perimeter of the building, with approximately 600 SF zones for the interior spaces. The central air handling system in the penthouse of the building provides total air supply in the building. At this point a 315 tonne Trane electric refrigeration water chiller generates the entire cooling capacity for the building. Three Teledyne Laars natural gas fired boilers of 3 million BTU’s each located in the penthouse generate the hot water for the reheat system and the perimeter radiation system located throughout the building. Generator 250 KVA Kohler back up generator supplies electricity to all stairwell and hall lighting as well as heating pumps and elevators.
