King George Station is located in Surrey along King George Boulevard and moves approximately 20,000 riders daily. As the last station on the Expo Line, King George Station is a critical link to alternate modes of transit that connect north Surrey to the rest of the Fraser Valley. This station has numerous connecting bus routes as well as a Park and Ride that brings users to the Station. King George Station is also the closest SkyTrain stop to Surrey Memorial Hospital, the second largest hospital in BC. The immediate neighborhood is characterized by an increasingly dense population, including a 3 tower high rise complex with over 1,000 units immediately north of the station. Immediately south of the station is a new mixed use development that will include over 1m square feet of combined retail, residential, and office space that will develop over the coming years. Within this development is the new Coast Capital Savings headquarters, which is expected to be completed in the Fall of 2015. In addition, the upcoming Park Avenue West will create an additional 424 residential units upon completion in the spring of 2017. The nearby Holland Park hosts major city and community concerts and events, which drives additional traffic for the station.
